Skilled Nominated Visa

Permanent visa which requires nomination by an Australian State or Territory Government. To apply for Subclass 190 visa, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Department of Home Affairs. SC190 visa option is for those who are either short on the minimum required points to lodge 189 (since nominating State or Territory gives you 5 extra points) or SC189 is not open for your occupation. When you are invited to apply for this visa, you must do so within the specified timeframe, otherwise the invitation lapses. It is of utmost importance to have all required documentation ready before or soon after the “invitation to apply for visa” is sent to you. Please also note that each State and Territory may have specific requirements based on their needs and criteria.

Just like skilled independent SC 189, this visa also allows you to bring your family members (spouse and dependent children) to Australia. You can also bring any family members who are financially dependent on you and have been living with you for support (documentary evidence required at the time of visa application). Full work rights and Medicare facilities are granted with this visa.
