This is the visa subclass if you wish to study an eligible course at an Australian Educational institute in Australia. The course can be vocational or higher studies or a combination of both.
The student visa also lets you bring your family members to Australia. You can work on your student visa in Australia as per your visa conditions i.e., part time or full time. The minimum age requirement for student visa applicant is 6 years. In such cases, student guardian usually a parent, can apply for SC590 to accompany their child. All international students (unless any reciprocal arrangements are in place) must purchase Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) upfront in order to be granted their visa.
